Who we are

We are student-athlete leaders at East Lyme High School who founded Vikings Play It Forward Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to helping children and their families in our local community enjoy the benefits of participating in sports. We collect lightly used sporting clothing and equipment and donate the items to those in need in the local community, provide financial assistance to children and their families to help pay for registration fees for sporting programs, provide coaching and refereeing, and provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have participated in athletics and demonstrate financial need in furthering their education.

As a student-led initiative, we are passionate about creating lasting change in our community and providing everyone with the opportunity to enjoy the life-long benefits of participating in sports. Together, we believe that children and their families should have the opportunity to participate in and thrive in sports, regardless of their background or circumstances.
